TermScopeAI detects policy links locally when a webpage opens. Policy text is sent for analysis only after a user opens the TermScopeAI interface or selects a policy for review.
TermScopeAI sends the selected policy text, policy URL, policy type, and the user’s selected analysis preferences to the TermScopeAI API. It does not intentionally collect passwords, form entries, payment information, private messages, or unrelated webpage content.
When a public policy page cannot be read directly by the browser, the TermScopeAI API may retrieve that public Terms of Use or Privacy Policy page so the requested analysis can finish. If the policy host blocks normal server retrieval, the API may use Jina Reader only to convert that same public policy URL into readable text. This fallback is limited to supported public policy hosts and does not retrieve private account content, emails, form entries, or other account pages.
The TermScopeAI API uses Cloudflare Workers AI to identify concerning clauses and return a plain language explanation. Automated summaries may be inaccurate and are not legal advice.
TermScopeAI does not create user accounts. Policy Library results and user settings are stored locally in the browser. The TermScopeAI API may cache an analysis result for up to seven days using the policy URL and analysis settings so that users receive faster and more consistent ratings. The submitted policy text is not included in the cache key or cached response. Cloudflare may process technical request logs according to its own service policies.
